How do I stick with my self? 0
In this video, “Smile at Fear” , Pema Chodron speaks about the nescessety of being with our selves and the world around in a friendly and open way. To me , this sounds so true, it is the only way.
There are hundreds of ways to close down, to run away from our feelings. What happens if I just stick with the emotions, even the fear? And how do I do that? Through willingness and gentleness, and as she says here ; of course through meditation.
My experience is that when I open up to what is, slowly it dissolves. I need trust. In my self, in you, in life. This is love. Or unconditional friendship. Our highly evolved minds have brought us far from our center and our contact with life, as species even to the edge of survival. What the world need now is this counter reaction, back to our hearts, to humility, to friendship. So please, Be kind with your self!
And the good thing about this is: I´m not special. If it works for me, it will work for you too!
So , with the attitude : “How deep can I enjoy this?” almost everything can be looked at, felt, taken to heart.
